On June 29, Sotheby’s London will auction the largest rough diamond found in over a century. The 1190-carat stone was discovered in a mine in Botswana by Lucara Diamond Corp. in November 2015. The diamond, which is estimated to be around 2.5 billion to 3 billion years old, will go on view at Sotheby’s New York ahead of the sale.
